The 2024-2025 Ole Miss Football roster holds a talented lineup – some of whom have chosen to spend their last year of eligibility at the collegiate level before entering their name in the draft.
With over 30 possible Ole Miss players who could enter the draft after next season, 10-12 show promise of being picked within the first three rounds. These players include Jaxson Dart, Tre Harris, Caden Prieskorn, Princely Umanmielen, Trey Amos, Jordan Watkins, Jared Ivey, Ulysses Bentley IV and JJ Pegues.
Jaxson Dart
Ole Miss Football quarterback Jaxson Dart stands out among the crowd of potential Rebel draftees. Dart – coming off of a career high 3,000 yard 23 touchdown year – was a key part in the Rebels first ever 11-win season.
While the 2024-2025 season has yet to come, Dart has already situated himself near the top of the quarterback class and is seen by many to have Heisman potential.
If he wins the Heisman, he might just become the best quarterback in this class, with the potential to be the number one overall pick.
Tre Harris
Wide receiver Tre Harris is an elite receiver for the Rebels and could have easily been a top pick this year. Harris decided to return and is coming off of a nearly 1,000 yard, eight touchdown season.
Harris pairs with Dart and wide receiver Jordan Watkins for a dynamic trio. He could position himself as the best receiver in the class, bumping out potential top pick Travis Hunter from Colorado.
Caden Prieskorn
Tight end Caden Prieskorn is a talented tight end and a solid blocker. Notably, Prieskorn was awarded Peach Bowl MVP.
Prieskorn is a fan favorite who stands out on and off the field. If Prieskorn flashes a bit more offense this upcoming season, he could skyrocket up draft boards.
Princely Umanmielen
The defensive end transfer from Florida was a big score for Kiffin in the transfer portal during the offseason. Coming off of a 22 tackle, seven sack season Umanmielen is heading into his first season with Ole Miss.
Umanmeilen has totaled 15 sacks throughout his career and could become a key piece for the Rebels next year. If he builds upon this success in Oxford, he might be a key name to look out for in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Trey Amos
Amos was another solid pick up from the portal for Defensive Coordinator Pete Golding’s loaded defense. The transfer from Alabama is a really good safety who struggles with inconsistent play.
He showed flashes at Alabama, but had a mediocre season overall. If Amos can become consistent this season with Ole Miss, he will jump up boards for his upside alone.
Jordan Watkins
This past season with the Rebels, Watkins and Harris became a wide receiver duo Rebel fans consistently looked forward to seeing.
Coming off of a 700 yard three touchdown season, Watkins is a talented receiver to watch out for in the 2024 season. The triple threat of Dart, Harris and Watkins will be a deadly weapon for Kiffin’s explosive offense.
If Watkins continues to improve with Harris, they could be the DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle of this draft.
Jared Ivey
The news of Ivey’s plans to return for the 2024 season keeps Defensive Coordinator Pete Golding and his team in solid shape. Ivey led the team in total sacks for loss with 9.5 in the 2023 season and tied for first for sacks totaling 5.5.
Ivey is one of the few seniors on the defense who are back for one last season with the Rebels. If Ivey continues to provide and performs like usual, he could be a lineman in the draft with plenty of potential.
JJ Pegues
Joining Ivey on the defense is Pegues — another senior choosing to stay in Oxford for one more season with the Rebels.
Pegues has been a force in the trenches, finishing right behind Ivey in tackles for loss with 8, and third in sacks with 3.5. The return of the Ivey and Pegues duo is something that Rebel fans are thrilled to see.
There will be plenty of room for him in the draft, seeing as he plays like he did last season.
Ulysses Bentley IV
After the departure of Quinshon Judkins, Bentley has been deemed RB1 heading into this season. Recording 500 yards and five touchdowns in 2023, Bentley is in perfect shape to perform the same if not better this time around. Bentley must keep his consistency going into this season, but he could potentially be one of the top running backs in the draft.
