Women’s Club Soccer
The Ole Miss Women’s Club Soccer Team started its season in Starkville against rival Mississippi State. Although the team fought hard, the game ended in a 2-0 loss for the Rebels.
Returning strong for their second match, the Rebels defeated Kennesaw State 2-0, with Molly Linck and Madison Copeland both scoring goals.
Ole Miss was unable to keep the drive and momentum when they faced Georgia, resulting in a 4-0 loss.
Men’s Club Rugby
The Ole Miss Men’s Club Rugby Team is entering the 2024-2025 season with renewed energy and high expectations. The Rebels are aiming to build on last year’s strong showing with a mix of seasoned veterans and promising new talent.
Against the University of Alabama in Huntsville, the Rebels won 65-0 to open their season.
Ole Miss Rugby’s returning players include Jake Daley, a senior fly-half, hookers Emmanuel Powell and Matt Steiner and fullback Race Davis — all crucial to the Rebels’ strategy on the field.
With a demanding schedule ahead, and a lot of determination, the 2024-2025 season could be a breakthrough year for the squad.
Men’s Division II Club Hockey
The Ole Miss Men’s Club Hockey team is expected to have a competitive season, featuring many returning College Hockey South Division II athletes, including sophomore Andrew Barrasso, who scored the team’s first goal of the season.
The Rebels started the season strong with a 7-2 win against Washington University but fell in game two 5-4.
Last weekend, the Rebels rolled into Nashville to take on divisional opponent Vanderbilt. Although they dropped game one 6-4, they dominated game two and won 9-0.
The Ice Rebels will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 5 in a red vs. white intersquad game.
