The Daily Mississippian welcomes letters to the editors and guest columns, which should be emailed to thedmopinion@gmail.com. Letters to the editor can be completed by anyone with a tie to the University, including alumni and faculty members, and should be typed, double-spaced and absolutely no longer than 300 words. Guest columns may only be submitted by students and should be typed, double spaced, and between 500-550 words, although the length can be negotiated.
Letters and columns may be edited for clarity, brevity and libel. Third-party letters and those with pseudonyms, pen names or no name will not be published. Letters and columns are limited to one individual per month. Letters should include contact information, including major and classification for students.
