Ole Miss Baseball was ranked the No. 11 program in the nation by D1Baseball, one of the leaders in NCAA DI college baseball coverage, in its 2026 Top 100.
The list does not consider historical team success; rather, it identifies which programs are in the best shape right now, taking into account what recruits care about. It turns an eye toward the next five to 10 years.
Looking at the last five seasons for Ole Miss, the Rebels have had two regional, two super regional and two College World Series appearances. Most notably, of course, was the 2022 season, when the Rebels won the national championship.
Ole Miss slotted in at No. 15 in the most recent iteration of this list in 2024. Since then, head coach Mike Bianco and company have been more aggressive in the portal and rebuilt their pitching staff. Under new pitching coach Joel Mangrum, the team’s ERA has dropped from 5.88 to 3.70 since 2024.

D1Baseball writer Aaron Fitt cited Oxford and Swayze Field’s charm as a major draw for recruits. From the beer showers in the outfield to the brand-new, MLB-grade playing surface, the facilities and atmosphere are some of the best in the nation.
Fitts also credits Bianco’s winning record over his 26-year tenure, as well as Ole Miss Baseball’s ability to rebound after a couple down years.
In this year’s rankings, Ole Miss fell below seven SEC teams, including Mississippi State, the defending national champions Oklahoma and No. 1 LSU. This does not come as much of a surprise with how dominant the conference has been, owning the last seven College World Series trophies.
This list is not a preseason poll, as those come out in early 2027. This is simply recognition from college baseball media at the impressive product put together year after year, and going forward, here in Oxford.
