Ole Miss Women’s Golf traveled to Huntsville, Ala., to compete in the NCAA DI Bermuda Run Regional at Bermuda Run Country Club on May 6-8.
Pulling out a first-place finish, the Lady Rebels Golf Team was one of four teams to advance to the final round of the 2024 NCAA DI Women’s Golf Championship. The Rebels had a -21 score over the three-day tournament, defeating the University of Texas by one stroke.
Ole Miss faced 12 teams in the tournament. Some of their biggest competitors included Wake Forest, Mississippi State, Oregon State and Tennessee.
Caitlyn Macnab (-12), Sophie Linder (-4) and Justine Fournand (-2) all finished the tournament under par. Nicole Gal (+2) and Natacha Husted (+5) were both over.
Macnab tied for first with Wake Forest’s Rachel Kuehn. This marks her fourth top five-finish this season and the seventh of her career. Linder and Fournand finished out the tournament tied for 13th and 15th, respectively. Gal tied for 24th and Husted tied for 32nd.
After the first round, the Rebels were three under par. Macnab and Husted led Ole Miss and both shot three under.
Despite four players being at even or better, Ole Miss ended round two even and -3 overall. Macnab led the Rebels at -4, with Husted shooting seven over.
Macnab and the Rebel’s best day was the final round. They ended round three at -8.
Ole Miss shot their best postseason performance in program history, tying the overall tournament low score of 843 (-21).
Ole Miss will head west to California and set their sights on the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship Finals. Round one will begin on May 17, and the final round of play will be on May 22 at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
