Ole Miss defensive lineman Zxavian Harris was arrested for domestic violence and obstructing arrest charges on Aug. 18, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department. The junior business major previously faced charges in July 2023, including a DUI, reckless driving and felony fleeing.
Lane Kiffin spoke about the situation on Aug. 19 at his weekly news conference.
“We were made aware of that and (we’re) still gathering information,” Kiffin said. “I don’t have any other comment but that.”
Harris is still on the roster as of Aug. 23. Kiffin has not commented on whether Harris will face any internal discipline.
Zxavian Harris is a native of Mississippi and made a few key plays on special teams, including blocking a last second field goal attempt from Texas A&M, allowing the Rebels to win the game 38-35.
His court date has yet to be decided.
