Ole Miss Men’s Golf won the SEC Championship at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga., on April 22-26. The Rebels advanced match play, then defeated No. 5 Texas A&M and No. 1 Auburn before toppling No. 2 Florida, 4-1, to win the championship — the first time they have done so since 1984.
The championship featured three rounds of 18-hole stroke play on April 22-24, followed by three rounds of match play on April 25-26.
The Rebels started the tournament strong and led the field with a score of 265 (-15) by the end of round one. Cameron Tankersley and Cohen Trolio tied for second with 64 (-6). Tankersley hit four birdies in his first six holes.
Tom Fischer followed with 68 (-2) and tied for 23rd. Fischer’s three consecutive birdies guided him to an under-par finish. Daniel Tolf tied for 31st with 69 (-1). Collins Trolio finished with 73 (+3) and tied for 66th.
Ole Miss fell to third at the end of round two with a total score of 539 (-21). Fischer went bogey-free on the round and survived the first nine under par. Additionally, he hit three birdies on the back nine. The Trolio brothers both shot 70, and Tolf shot 71 (+1).
After concluding round three, the Rebels advanced to match play for the first time since 2023 with a total posted score of 820 (-20), good for 4th place. Ole Miss’ consistency throughout stroke play helped them reach the next stage.
Cohen Trolio tied for third place, which matched his career best. He led the Rebels with a score of 66 (-4). Trolio completed 15 rounds under par.
Ole Miss defeated Texas A&M Aggies 4.5-0.5 in the quarterfinals on Saturday, April 25. Fischer set the tone for match play with a 3-2 win and four birdies. Tankersley followed with a 4-3 victory and Collins Trolio with a 3-1 victory. Tolf’s match ended with a half point; since he tied with his opponent after 18 holes, each contributed half a point to his respective team’s score.
The Rebels narrowly defeated the Auburn Tigers, 3-2, in the semifinals later that day. Fischer continued to dominate with a 3-1 victory and six birdies. Collins Trolio followed with a 2-1 win and seven birdies, gaining Ole Miss’ second point. Tankersley drew even and saved the Rebels with a 3-2 victory off a one point lead.
On Sunday, April 26, the Rebels won the title with a 4-1 victory over Florida, who won the SEC Championship in 2025.

Fischer gained a 5-4 leadoff win to kick off scoring once again for the Rebels. Tolf tied his match. Tankersley gained a one-up win for Ole Miss’ third point and secured the win after struggling to start the match.
“I was two down through seven or eight (holes), and I was like, ‘All right, I need to make some birdies to get some momentum going,”’ Tankersley said in an interview.
Collins Trolio tied in his championship match. He accounted for 20 of the 70 tournament birdies. Cohen Trolio also tied his match.
