Ole Miss Women’s Basketball forward Cotie McMahon was selected in the first round of the WNBA Draft by the Washington Mystics with the No. 11 overall pick on Monday, April 13. The Chicago Sky took forward Latasha Lattimore No. 21 overall.
McMahon departs from Ole Miss as the second all-time career points leader with 2,187, with 703 coming from her time at Ole Miss.
Lattimore scored the third most points per game this year for the Rebels with 10.9. She played in all 36 games.
Head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin posted a picture of herself wearing a Chicago Sky hat to congratulate Lattimore on her accomplishment.

This past season, McMahon averaged 19.5 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game. She had five double-doubles, which is tied for the second most in a single season in program history. She was a three-time SEC Player of the Week. Her other accolades include SEC Newcomer of the Year, First Team All-SEC and an AP and USA Today All-American Honorable Mention.
In the Lady Rebels’ 94-81 win over then-No. 21 Tennessee, she scored 39 points, the most in a single game in The Sandy and John Black Pavilion.
McMahon will bring physicality and determination to a Mystics team looking to revitalize after a rough 2025 season, when it finished No. 10 in the WNBA with a 16-28 record. With three first-round picks, the Mystics will look to have a more successful 2026 campaign.
“I need to get an apartment there because we got 2 REBS in DC,” McPhee-McCuin said on X.
McMahon joins former Lady Rebels forward Shakira Austin and guard Madison Scott on the Mystics.
“I’m willing to do whatever it takes to win, whether that be with the ball in my hands or not,” McMahon said following her selection. “I feel like I’m really ready to take on any role.”
