The Ole Miss Women’s and Men’s Tennis teams will compete in the SEC Tennis Tournament as the No. 10 seeds on Wednesday, April 15. The men will take on No. 15 Tennessee in College Station, Texas, and the women will face No. 15 Kentucky in Norman, Okla.
If head coach Jake Jacoby and the men’s team win on Wednesday, they will face No. 7 South Carolina. If they beat the Gamecocks, they will battle No. 2 Mississippi State for a semifinal spot.
With a win, the women will see No. 7 Vanderbilt in the second round, then No. 2 Texas A&M in the quarterfinals.

No. 79 Stefano D’Agostino and No. 117 Matthieu Chambonniere come into the tournament as the highest ranked Rebel singles players, while Isac Strömberg and Kai Milburn are the No. 25 ranked duo in the country.
The men’s team swept Tennessee, 4-0, on Saturday, April 4. The Rebels also defeated South Carolina, 5-2, in mid-March, but they suffered a 1-6 defeat against Mississippi State earlier this season.
The Rebels lost to No. 19 Auburn in their penultimate SEC match at home on Friday, April 10, but rebounded on Sunday against No. 22 Kentucky. They finished the season 6-8 in conference play.
The women finished SEC play at 6-9. No. 18 singles player Emily Welker will lead the Rebels in the tournament. Welker and her doubles partner Andrea Nova are the No. 13 duo in the country.
Welker and the Rebels are coming off a 4-0 sweep of Kentucky on Saturday, April 11. However, their path to the championship will be tough. They lost 5-2 against Vanderbilt and 4-1 to Texas A&M earlier in the year.
