In anticipation of the 2026 NFL Draft, Ole Miss Football hosted its 2026 Pro Day on Wednesday, March 18 in the Manning Center. Seventeen Rebels showcased their skills in front of 38 scouts from 30 NFL teams and one scout representing an organization from the Canadian Football League.
Senior safety Kapena Gushiken was the standout of the event. The 6-foot, 185 pound Hawaii native did not receive an invite to the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Ind., on Feb. 27-March 2; however, his 40-yard dash time of 4.35 seconds would have placed him in the 95th percentile in the combine.
Gushiken also recorded a 41-inch vertical and 17 reps on a 225-pound bench press, which would have put him within the top four performances in each metric at the combine.

Though Gushiken was previously not projected to be drafted, his measurables may have vaulted him into late-round contention.
Wide receivers De’Zhaun Stribling and Harrison Wallace III, who attended the combine, participated in throwing drills. Stribling proved he was a physical threat by making several acrobatic catches, while Wallace showed deft footwork along the sidelines.
Defensive tackle Zxavian Harris also attended the NFL combine a few weeks ago; however, the 6-foot-8-inch, 330-pound player was inactive at the event. He rolled into the Manning Center on a scooter with a cast over his right foot. Though the circumstances surrounding this injury are unclear, Harris’ draft stock may take a hit.
The 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh, Pa., on April 23-25. ESPN and NFL Network will broadcast the event.
