The bats were on fire for the Rebels in their 12-0 victory where they tallied 10 hits in four innings to earn their 30th win of 2025.
Senior two-way player Aliyah Binford got the Rebels going early with a sacrifice fly to put Ole Miss up by one. The red-hot Persey Llamas followed Binford’s lead with an RBI of her own in the next at bat.
Catcher Lexi Brady hit a homerun in back-to-back at bats. She also hit a solo shot in the first inning and then a three-run homer in the third to put the Rebels up by six.
Brady got her fifth RBI of the game in the high scoring fourth inning via a four pitch walk. She is now tied for the most home runs in a single season by a Rebel with 13 and looks to get more in her historic season with the Rebels.
Binford got her second RBI of the game in the fourth inning, putting the Rebels lead at 7-0. The fourth inning was a downhill spiral for the Skyhawks pitchers. They gave up six runs in the bottom of the fourth, four of those runs coming from bases-loaded walks.
UT Martin played their third game in less than 30 hours, and that showed in their lackluster performance. The Skyhawks only had two hits all game thanks to a dominant performance by star freshman pitcher Miali Guachino.
Guachino struck out eight of the first nine batters she faced. She was nearly untouchable in four innings of work, only giving up one hit in her 13th win of the season in the circle.
Alison Cooper took over for Guachino in the fifth inning to finish the game for the Rebels. In her 12th appearance of the season she struck out two of the last three outs to seal the victory for the Rebels.
Who’s next?
The commanding midweek win for the Rebels will propel them into the weekend where they will face the No. 8 Florida Gators in Oxford in what will be their biggest challenge yet. After dropping two games to South Carolina this past weekend, they hope to make a statement against the top ten Gators.
The first game of the series will be on Friday, April 11, at 6 p.m. Fans can watch the game on SEC Network + or listen to the game on the Radio FX app.
