Former five-star QB Deuce Knight commits to Ole Miss

Former Auburn quarterback Deuce Knight has committed to Ole Miss, On3 reported on Jan. 11.

Knight is a former five-star quarterback recruit. Last season, he threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 179 yards and four touchdowns across two games. His best outing came against Mercer on Nov. 22, when he accounted for 401 total yards and six touchdowns.

Knight, a Lucedale, Miss., native, was heavily recruited by Ole Miss coming out of high school. The redshirt freshman will have four years of eligibility remaining.

On3 ranked Knight No. 25 in its 2025 Industry Top Football Recruits. The five-star quarterback was the No. 1 player in the state of Mississippi and the No. 5 quarterback in the Class of 2025.

Knight’s commitment comes in wake of the NCAA denying quarterback Trinidad Chambliss’ request for an additional year of eligibility and fellow quarterback Austin Simmons’ decision to enter the transfer portal.
